Hey there, a few months ago I found a program written by a guy named T V Raman which reads LaTeX code in language which is easier to understand.  I tried it out and thought that it was really smart.  It reads out super scripts in a high pitched voice and subscripts in a lower voice.  There is a link to his web site below.
