Hi,I was missing a few of the system sounds for a few days. when you do your daily apt-get update followed by apt-get upgrade, make sure that there are no packages being held back. If you find that there are some packages being held back, use apt-get install to get them upgraded (the problem is that they now have dependencies that they didn't previously have). Once I got all of the packages upgraded, all of my system sounds returned.
Good luck, dave On 10/02/2008 06:26 PM, mk360 wrote:
Hi,I'm using alsa under ubuntu intrepid and everything seems to work fine, but I can't listen system sounds. I've installed libesd-alsa0 and esound, but nothing happens and I can use all the audio reproduction programs, I can listen music withouttrouble, etc, . Any ideas? mk. _______________________________________________ Orca-list mailing list Orca-list gnome org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/orca-list Visit http://live.gnome.org/Orca for more information on Orca
