Yes, I have two of these working through speech-dispatcher.
It is a while since I have set it up, but as I recall, you basicly need 
the mbrola binary and the particular voice file from mbrola.
Espeak has special voice files that makes it give output which one pipes 
into mbrola.
For that kind of voices it is quite responsive, but not as responsive as 
the standard espeak voices.
