Well, that's another twist:).  Actually from what I had previously
gathered, I always thought at-spi had depended on atk for low level
stuff but what do I know? I never was sure where gail fit in the
loop.  I really wish these README files the developers assemble would
show the proper list of dependencies.  Frankly, the at-spi files are
worse.  the README says nothing about compilation order and the
INSTALL file is too generic to offer any real substance.

I guess the config files are a good definitive source as any though;
especially since they drive what gets compiled and when.

One thing we can probally all agree on is that Orca should be compiled
last. <smile>
