Well, I installed everything in x/ today and am pretty sure none of
them overlaid anything from dropline. But startx gives me a bunch of
errors including that it can't load my keyboard and several server
errors. It sure looks like a damn do-over to me <sigh>. Yeah, I
heard about slacky disk and whatever, but I had hopede to work with
what I had already. If it means a clean re-install of the distro,
then I may as well go with one that has X and gnome already included
like Redhat or Debian or Ubuntu. I don't know. this may be a
learning experience but not so rewarding so far yet. GUI access
better be what's cracked up to be after all this; I'll say that much.
