I tried your patches and it speeds up ff and orca but I have another
problem now:
open site www.heise.de
then press e. G. 1 for the first heading.
Result: orca does not respond any more since I close firefox.
Closing ff with alt+f4 works.
I am not sure if this is related to your patch but I think it is important to report. here.
orca and at-spi are for svn latest trunk.
Firefox ist latest niglty build from today.
