Re: [orca-list] Resp.: Successfully using gnome and orca

I have an update on this problem.

I thought to see what would happen if I changed my run level to 5, to boot
directly into the gui. I did this, and it works beautifully. Orca runs
great, and gnome works great to.

So, I don't know what this means.

Thanks.

Hello,
trying to report this issue to the speakupmodified project would be a good
idea. Also it would help asking on a x project list could help.
Reading the logs I suspect that some component pre installed is broken, as
the x server is aparentely having trouble to go up. Or perhaps it is a
missing configuration. Are you trying to start x as root?
