[orca-list] Fw: TTSynth voice question

Hi,
I've tried to install the IBM deb package by trying to just click on the file, but when I do, I get an install button, but then it errors out and tells me that I have two package managers running.  What command line should I use to run the file from a terminal?
thanks,

you need to do apt-get update, apt-get -f install as well as aptitude update and upgrade

I know I had to do this on 7.10 that I didnt' have to do on 7.04.

Hi,
I've installed the deb package of TTSynth on my Ubuntu 7.10 system.  I do not see this speech engine listed on the speech page of the orca preferences.  What do I need to do?
