Re: [orca-list] svn errors

Might it be that your Internet connection is unstable? I must confess I
don't know much about how sbn works to resume interruptions, but what
you're reporting sounds a lot like an interrupted session to me.

You can perfectly tell--at least from the console. What does one do
fromt he terminal when needs more tha one terminal? Launch two, I
suppose? Anyone?

You want to issue an alarm ping:

ping -i 0.2 -a [address]

This should beep 5 times per second. Leave it running. If it's steady as
a rock, your connection is steady and my thought about the explanation
of this problem is incorrect. If it's arhythmic, you've got problems for
sure, and my guess is likely the reason for your sbn errors. If the
sounds stop for awhile, and then resume,--well then my guess is correct.
What to do about that if it is is something I don't know yet.

hi.

finally I decided to check out the source using one of the windows svn clients and then copy that to my
ubuntu installation so that I have control over what happens. I tried 2 clients and here's what I got:

svn: Can't check path 'trunk\test\2007-01-21_12:49:59': The filename, directory
name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

note that it downloaded 136 kb, tells you it is working fine.

anybody can offer suggestions?

or, better yet, if somebody can check the sources out and provide me with a compressed file I could use it
would be cool!

I don't want to download under linux so far, because I have no way to tell what is going on.

thank you
