Do you have dhcdbd running, and do you have the correct magic at the top
of /sbin/dhclient-script that forwards the returned DHCP options to
dhcdbd?

I can't help wondering how she'd know.  fwiw, that's never been a
problem for me with any version of Ubuntu since Breezy.
