Re: gnome-desktop on omap3

Hello Amit,

Also is it even possible to install Gnome-dektop with Directfb backend?

Do you strictly need DirectFB?

If you would use X.org, you could download everything from linux.onarm.com with X.org, GTK+ etc. readily available for Omap3. It uses Matchbox-desktop and matchbox, but compiling gnome libraries there should be trivial. It already has most of the dependencies there.

If you consider using DirectFB only for performance reasons, I strongly
recommend that you have a look at using X.org. It makes your life
simpler. And if you try out the webbrowser provided on linux.onarm.com,
you'll notice that it performs really nicely on Omap3.

Br,
Sampo
