Hi Fabiana
Thanks for the link. I read the page. The requirement "planning to actively
contribute" is associated with the Full membership, that is why I would
like to switch to Emeritus Membership, as more appropriate. But if you are
saying that my membership type can be switched during next renewal in 2014
- so be it!
Thank you,
Sergey

Hi Sergey,
JSYK, your current Foundation Membership lasts until the 4th of July,
2014. So, in theory, there would be no need for applying for an Emeritus
Membership for now.
Also, the policy
<https://live.gnome.org/MembershipCommittee/EmeritusMembers> states:
"Members of the Foundation are required to have made a valuable, recent
and non-trivial contribution to the project, and should be planning to
actively contribute in the future".

Hello
I am planning to retire from GNOME activities somewhere around 3.6

I thought emeritus status would be more appropriate for me.
Thank you
Since you said you're "planning to retire from GNOME activities", let me
confirm: would you be "planning to actively contribute in the future"?
Cheers,
Fabiana
