Thank you very much for your answer!
So for the moment I would prefer to be (the first?) Emeritus member for staying a member at all... (Emeritus
is really better than not being a GNOME member any longer, I guess)
When continuing my contributions in late summer I then will apply for full membership again!
So herewith I kindly ask you for changing my status to Emeritus member.
Kind regards,
Nils

So my questions are as follows:
1. Is it possible to simply re-new my "normal" membership or is it necessary to change it into this
emeritus membership?
It's not possible at this moment of time since you miss one of the
requirements: "contributions must be recent...", so if you're planning
to get back working on translations again within this summer, just
apply again with the needed references (l10n.g.o links to your
translations etc.) and we'll renew your membership for two more years.
If you don't plan to contribute again, you'll be able to propose
yourself for the new Emeritus status. (keeping your @gnome.org
address, GNOME blog and any other benefit apart voting to Board's
elections and Referenda)
2. Will those emeritus members still be shown in the members list here?:
http://www.gnome.org/foundation/membership/ (I recognized that my name was removed from the list...)
No, they won't. A list of all the Emeritus members will be kept at [1].
3. Could someone please check whether my mail alias ncfiedler gnome org still forwards to fiedler
neerstrom de?
Yes, the alias is still set!
cheers,
Andrea
