GNOME contributions:
--------------------

Summary:
I've contributed to OCRFeeder, Caribou, Grilo.

I have created a project related to OCR called OCRFeeder using GTK+ and
following the GNOME guidelines as I could. A year ago I moved the
project to the GNOME infrastructure and have been developing it there
since then. It is currently the only OCR application for GNOME and also
the more complete Free Software graphical OCR application.

In Caribou, I have reimplemented the way the keyboards are configured
which passed from being configured by Python source files to be XML or
JSON files. This reimplementation also added a more flexible/complete
configuration.

As for Grilo, I've implemented the Vimeo plugin, besides some features
implementation and bug fixing.

Other comments:
---------------
I am a GNOME user since 2005 and since 2006 I started using GTK+ to develop desktop applications.
I have also supported GNOME when I was part of the Computer Science students association of my university
(University of Ãvora) where we invited some people involved in GNOME (like Damien Sandras of Ekiga) as
speakers and designed GNOME t-shirts for the event.

GNOME related subjects were always present in my blog but since 2010 I had my blog added to Planet GNOME
where I make it in a more effective way.
