hi there!
while working on cheese last year during last years summer of code, jaap
already sent me some patches.
after finishing with soc, jaap did an amazing work on cheese and pushed it
into the state it is right now, e.g.
he is the reason, why most webcams work with cheese (if you need more
informations like this just ping me).
he also worked on the waf build system, which cheese uses besides autotools
and right now he is working on
a vala port of cheese. while not working on cheese, i can see him working on
the bugzilla database and being
quite active on the gnome mailing lists or helping a lot of other gnome
projects too.
definitely +1 by me.

Dear Daniel and Richard,
The GNOME Foundation Membership Committee needs more information to
process the application of Jaap A. Haitsma. Since [he/she] has listed
you as the primary contact, the committee would like you to list the
contributions that Jaap A. Haitsma has made for the GNOME community in
recent times. Your input will be greatly appreciated to help us to make
a fair and informed decision in the granting or denying the applicant as
a foundation member.
