A short note on the intent to vacate the Membership Committee position

Hi,

For a considerable period I have not been able to give the duties of
the Membership Committee adequate amount of attention. That said, I
guess it would be well served if I stepped down and a new volunteer
comes up.

Do consider this a formal note of intent.
