I've promoted GNOME on various occasions most notably at T-DOSE (a open source event in the netherlands) in 
December of '06 where i helped organise and run a gnome stand.
Also more recent i spoke at softwarefreedomday about the history of gnome.

Next to that i also helped (a little bit) with the donation page bug for the new site by designing/making a 
pdf for the check payment method. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463742
