Hi Eskild,
Depending on the relevance of your GNOME-related contributions, they
can be considered as well. We have several foundation member who
contribute to GNOME-related projects (in different ways) like Debian,
Ubuntu, GStreamer, Telepathy, GNOME-based applications, and so on.
So, the answer is: you don't necessarely need to be contributing to a
GNOME official module to be a foundation member. In case you apply for
membership, please make sure you read this page:
http://foundation.gnome.org/membership/
and the application tips at:
http://live.gnome.org/MembershipCommittee/ApplicationTips
Thanks,
