I've talked with the head of the french translation team, and he told me
that Xavier was not active for three years. He only translated a guide
for GNOME 1.0. Is it really enough to accept his application ?
Maybe we should tell him that he should have a more recent contribution
to be accepted.

IIRC (not sure, this was some time ago), I found that there was not a
lot of translations. But this should be ok, yes.
