Let's try & decode what he/she could possibly mean ?
If he means 'in mc mode of operating on the 2-panels-of-directory/files',
then <Tab> would swap the hi-lit [and selected] file and <backspace>
would be inactive.
If he means 'in mcedit mode' then <tab> would imediately write a <tab>..
Perhaps s/he's writing to a non-mc forum ?
Can anybody solve this riddle ?
