Visible tabs in master version

Hello.

I'm seeking how to customize visibility of tabs and other whitespace. Is 
that planned?

Currently this is hardcoded and cannot be turned off.

P.S. Is there a way to report issues directly to trac? Or should i 
report them to savannah?
