Call for speakers for The GNOME Day during LinuxTag 2008 in Berlin, Germany.

Hi all,

I have been asked to organize a GNOME Day during LinuxTag in May 2008.

It is the first time The GNOME Project is invited to have a whole track of its own.

LinuxTag will take place in Berlin, Germany from May 28 - 31st 2008. http://www.linuxtag.org/2008/ More than 10.000 visitors are expected during LinuxTag.

I will try to reserve Saturday 31st of May for the GNOME track.

We need at least 6 speakers who will each be given 45 minutes for a presentation plus 15 minutes for Q & A, getting ready etc. Please see the details in the general call for papers. The conditions are the same, but the deadline has been extended. (Old deadline was 11.01.2008.) http://www.linuxtag.org/2008/en/conf/cfp/cfp-target.html

The presentations can be in German or in English.

Please send me an abstract as soon as possible before, February 1st 2008 if you want to be one of the speakers.

The presentations should be very relevant to The GNOME Project.

I have already been in contact with a few Germany based GNOME hackers.

Those interested need to send me an estimate for their travel costs, so I am able to make a budget for those speakers who are not payed by their company.

The most important thing is to get the speakers names etc. in the program as soon as possible.

If you live in other European countries than Germany or you are in Europe near to the LinuxTag days please send me an e-mail informing me about what your contribution could be.

This mail is send to the Foundation List as well as the Marketing List.
I think it will be best to continue on the Marketing List, if there are any general questions etc.

Kind regards,

Anne Østergaard
