Do you guys know about GTimeLog?

Hey guys,

I have only just started "using" Hamster since about 30 minutes ago. I was previously using GTimeLog (http://mg.pov.lt/gtimelog/).

I was wondering if you guys were familiar with this other time tracking application (which is also written in Python). Looking at Hamster it seems the major difference is that the way you track time in GTimeLog is by typing out the activity when you stop doing it, you don't have to tell the application you've started doing something.

If you switched activities and forgot to tell GTimeLog about it you just have to do something like this:

-30 Planning total world domination
Dozed off **
Build weapon of mass destruction to keep the world hostage

(** indicates that this counts as slacking)

In the chronological view this would result in something like:

0 h 30 min (09:00-09:30) Sitting comfortably in the evil chair
0 h 15 min (09:30-09:45) Planning total world domination
0 h 5 min (09:45-09:50) Dozed off **
0 h 15 min (09:50-10:30) Build weapon of mass destruction to keep the world hostage

Anyways, keep on rocking. I'm going to start using this instead of GTimelog for a while and hopefully get my act together and see if there's anything to improve. Do you guys happen to hang out on IRC?

/me goes looking whether it's possible to prevent the activity itself from being displayed in the applet

Best regards,

Bruce
