Centering text in a treeview

Hi,

I'm trying to get the text in a treeviewcolumn that uses a
cellrenderertext to be center-aligned.  Setting property_alignment() of
the rendererer to Pango::ALIGN_CENTER doesn't seem to have any effect,
how should this be done?
