What packages are you referring to, the Fedora ones ? gtkmm24 doesn'tship with RHEL5, though the EPEL project currently has RHEL4 RPMs (andwill carry RHEL5 ones soon).

Also, things like Requires: and BRs: tend to be very distro-specific.That's probably why nobody is maintaining the tarball spec.in files...
