unclutter gtk2

I use unclutter, a program that hides the mouse pointer
if its not moved for a while.

If I position the mouse over the background area of a window
created with gtk-perl, after the timeout,
instead of the pointer disappearing,
it starts moving up and down as fast as it can.

Other areas of the window let the pointer disappear
without a problem.
