Right now, it's pretty much complete in binding the needed functions,
but - alas - it does not work.

The binding has been in CVS for some time, now, under the
Gnome2-PanelApplet module name.

You'd be most welcome! :-)

The fact is, I've never been able to effectively trace why the applet is
not loaded inside the panel, since it all happens inside a bonobo
connection, and the error log is not helpful.
