support for FileChooser and all other new to 2.4 gtk+ stuff is already
in the (past few) unstable rels. if you download the latest (1.036) and
build against gtk+ cvs or a devel release then you will have access to
those widgets. obviously those widgets have to be in the gtk+ version
you're using for us to be able to bind them to perl. 

if you're looking to build against gtk+ cvs then take a look at jhbuild
or garnome.
