gtk2-perl-xs on mandrake (with gtk2-perl)

i'm looking for information for inclusion in the README/INSTALL files of
gtk2-perl-xs about the things that need to be taken into consideration when
installing gtk2-perl-xs on a mandrake system that came with and makes use of
gtk2-perl (inline) and more generally about installing the xs stuff on systems
where the inline code has been installed previously.

i know that some of the mandrake tools have been converted to use gtk2-perl-xs
for future mandrake releases and it seems that work may be underway on others.
luckily the changes should be reasonable/minimal, but that is my assumption
and not backed up by much fact. status and information on this would be
appreciated as well.

as was said back when the xs tree started gtk2-perl(-xs) would of never came
to be without the efforts of mandrake employees (namely guillaume) and they
should in no way be faulted for the issue, and in fact should be applauded for
being noble in the less than ideal situation.
