Application Name & Class with Window Maker

Hi,
My progams don't seem to be setting the application name and class, well
at least Window Maker isn't seeing it. I was wondering if anybody had
any ideas?
I've tried using xprop and WM_CLASS isn't present for my gtk++ programs.
