Ige-mac-integration: New version with Cocoa interface available.

The Gtk-OSX Project is very pleased to announce a major update to ige-mac-integration.

The modulesets have been updated, so there's no need for most users to actually do anything except run jhbuild to retrieve, build, and install the new version.

Version 0.9.0 is now available for download at https://sourceforge.net/projects/gtk-osx/files/GTK-OSX%20Build/ige-mac-integration-0.9.0.tar.gz/download or by git from git://gtk-osx.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/gtk-osx/gtk-osx or git://github.com/jralls/ige-mac-integration.git.

It provides an entirely new interface based on Apple's 64-bit Cocoa toolkit using a new GObject, GtkOSXApplication. New features include better support of multiple windows, better Dock tile support, handling of OpenFile, ShouldTerminate, DidBecomeActive, and WillResignActive notifications, and better automation of menubar updates.

Documentation of the new interface is available at http://gtk-osx.sourceforge.net/ige-mac-integration/.

The old Carbon-based API is deprecated, but still present in the library so that existing uses can migrate gracefully.

Many thanks to Paul Davis of the Ardour project for his initial implementation without which this release would have taken much longer.

Regards,
John Ralls
