  - GTK+ 2.16

+ plans for GTK+ 2.18

+ file locking API to GIO
  - SuSE-only gnome-vfs patch (for SMB)
  - GNOME_VFS_OPEN_LOCKED (acquire lock on open)
  - advisory locking (mandatory as implementation detail)
  - needs an API proposal
