Changing Background Color

Hello,
       I have a main window and inside that i have another scrolled window..... Now i am able to change the 
background color of the main window.. but i cant change the background color of the scrolled window. Can 
anyone tell me how to do this...

Also, is it possible to change the background color of the buttons?
