kinput2 and GtkIMContext

Hi,
I wanted some information about kinput2, I have implemented a custom
widget which filters keyboard events through GtkIMContext, should I
expect to work with kinput2 ?

Can kinput2 be selected from the context menu ? Any pointers to write
a custom widget that supports both im-ja and kinput2 will help
