localization with libglade example?

Hello,

Is there anyone who succesfully localized a program using libglade2-0
Version  2.0.1-5? 

I have severe problems with my program and am looking for an example
program that works.

The .mo is correct (because a prior version of the program without
libglade works fine) but the LANG environment seems to be ignored.
