How to make option menu pack as more columns?

Hi,
I have an GtkOptionMenu widget, I have about 100 items want to let user
make selection, 
The OptionMenu just is longer than my screen. 
Can I pack these menuitems into a table? Like the Gnumeric color
selection combo?
Also Motif optionmenu can pack its items to multicolumns.
