keybindings in gtk+-2.0

Hi,
I am a bit new to gtk+. I've looked through the tutorial and the gtk+-2.0 
api documentation but can't find a way of using the keybindings mechanism. 
Can you please point out some documentation on this topic or a software 
written using gtk+-2.0 that uses the keybindings.
