Text blinking

Ldys & Gents,

i'm working with Text widget. When the user writes some text in it i
freeze, do some checks, sometimes i move the cursor, add some text...
and thaw it at the end. My question is how to avoid blinking when the
Text widget is thawed and all text is refreshed. Is it posible to
eliminate this behaviour?? Or maybe is there some sort of function
which can refresh a range of text from start_pos to end_pos??
