Hi,

Look at the g_spawn_async() functionality in the unstable version of
GLib; you could cut-and-paste the code until the new GLib comes out.

Docs are at developer.gnome.org/doc/API, 2.0 version docs, not the 1.2
ones.

Source code is in the various 1.3.x GLib releases.
