Obviously I do not know your requirements, but is it needed to have a
"Creation date" key instead of using the current GRL_METADATA_KEY_DATE
for that?

Note that for the case of images, I would say that creation date is what
really matters, and thus I would use that in GRL_METADATA_KEY_DATE. In
flickr source, for instance, is how we do.

I know that right now in tracker metadata this key is used to store last
modification time. I wonder if this information is really interesting...
