Python Plugins

Hello,

I'm really interested in gnumeric because of the python plugin options. I just started playing with it recently, and I'm wondering how to retrieve the current cell's position from python. I understand how to read/write to a specified cell, but getting the current cell's coordinates seems a bit out of reach. There must be something I'm missing . . .
