If possible try a newer version. Also, 512MB of RAM doesn't sound too
much nowadays...

How many rows? Also, if this file doesn't contain very sensitive data,
could you please open a bug and attach the file there...
If it contains sensitive data, you might just obfuscate it ;)

Microsoft has quite a big team devoted to just optimizing their
products. They just happen to have more resources... :(
