hi there, by running configure on gnumeric-1.1.17 "Requested 'gal-2.0 >= 1.99' but version of GAL is 0.0.7" 0.0.7 is indeed the latest version of GAL2. they for some reason knocked the major number down to zero. i think the correct fix is in the attached patch file also, the gnumeric webpage says "NOTE : This release now relies on gnome-print-2.2.x"; but GAL2 relies upon gnome-print-2.0.x; so there is no way of getting around installing libgnomeprint(ui)-1.116.3 :-/ cheers, Sam (sorry if this appears twice... i emailed when unsubscribed and the moderator might let it through after this is posted) -- You tricked me!
