Getting rid of tool bars & opening window size

Hello there everybody...

Ok I have a couple of quick questions...First on file open I would like
the file to open full screen,  is there a way to do this?

Also, I would like to get rid of some of the toolbars on the screen, how
do I go about doing this?  Please let me know, thanks
