I like this page for both its clean design and economical use of
existing resources.

My sentiments also.  At first glance in my browser, I didn't see the
community headlines.  We should have rule limiting the height of the
splash.  Does anyone care to resize the image, better still remake it
with Free fonts?  Are we ready to move on two a new headline since we
are now comfortably in 2004?
