modifying the menu

Hello,

I would like to know how to edit the pop up menu that appears
when I right click the mouse on a empty location of the root
window.

I have looked through the various document related to gnome,
but I did not find what I was looking for.

Could someone point me to the correct location of information
reguarding this configuration?
