Fwiw, if this really poses a problem for certain languages (not sure
about that though), some string mangling might work, e.g. splitting the
translated string (after passing it to gettext()) on the %s character,
and using two labels to display the text. While quite simple to
implement, this approach is not easily applied to sentences with two
placeholder widgets, since things like %2$s might occur in the
translated string in that case.
