creating profile using spyder 3 pro

I just found the gnome-color-manager and am really looking forward to an easier way to manage my icc profiles than using argyll and the command line. I installed it and I can set my previously generated icc profile, but the button to create a new profile is grayed out.  I tried running it w/ gksu but it didn't change anything.
