GNOME 2.27.5 released!

GNOME 2.27.5 Development Release
================================

Wow, it's quite hot here. Sure, the temperature outside is high, but I
guess it's also because of this computer who worked hard to understand
some lines of code and to translate them into something that it can then
use to make me happy. Yes. Because running GNOME makes me happy! And
the 2.27.5 release is no exception there: it has this magic power on me.
It's a good release to get a first feeling of what will be in GNOME
2.28, with the new modules now being integrated and new features popping
here and there, in many differents modules. Ah, if only it could do
something for the temperature ;-)

Please note that this milestone marks the beginning of the feature
freeze. This is a good time to start summarizing what has changed in
your modules in this cycle, so that people can work on the release
notes! See http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointTwentyseven/ReleaseNotes

You all know what you have to do now. Go download it. Go compile it. Go
test it. And go hack on it, document it, translate it, fix it.

To compile GNOME 2.27.5, you can the jhbuild [1] modulesets [2] (which
use the exact tarball versions from the official release):

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
--------------------------

This release is a snapshot of development code. Although it is
buildable and usable, it is primarily intended for testing and hacking
purposes. GNOME uses odd minor version numbers to indicate
development status.

For more information about 2.27, the full schedules, the official
modules list and the proposed modules list, please see our 2.27 page:

We hope you'll love it,
