GNOME 2.18.0 Release Candidate (2.17.92) Released!

GNOME 2.18.0 Release Candidate (2.17.92)
========================================

Here we go: this is the last unstable release before 2.18.0. We've all
added cool features, important bug fixes, great translations, or shiny
documentation during the past six months. And it'll be soon ready for
public consumption. There's still one week before the hard codde freeze,
so it's not too late to fix this last bug you're ashamed of. And then,
you'll be able to think about the future. What will make GNOME 2.20.0
rock? It's up to you to write this future!

To compile GNOME 2.17.92, you can use GARNOME, which supports users and
has additional/different modules available), or the jhbuild
modulesets (which use the exact tarball versions from the official
release).

GARNOME is available at:
       http://www.gnome.org/projects/garnome/
jhbuild and jhbuild modulesets are available at:

The release notes that describe the changes between 2.17.91 and 2.17.92

TESTING! TESTING! TESTING!
--------------------------

This release is a feature, user interface, and string frozen snapshot
primarily intended for wide public scrutiny before the final GNOME
2.18 release in March. GNOME uses odd minor version numbers to indicate
development status.

For more informations about 2.17, the full schedule, the official
module lists and the proposed modules list, please see our new shiny
2.17 page:

We hope you'll love it,
